today after work me and my sister got on the same bus because she was going to help me cash a check. we got on a bus full of rowdy boys and they made fun of me and were rude to her. i didn't say anything but lord knows i wanted to. every move i made, they made fun of it. i wish i was more like my sister. when she's angry, she turns to stone. stares straight ahead. there's no talking to her. her answers are short, non existent or just written on her face
i'm an entirely different story. i get visibly upset. first it starts with i don't know where to put my hands, so i bring them (or in the case, one) to my face. then i survey what's in my pockets. then i lean, all while my face gets more and more creased with anger. then my fingers start drumming, patting my leg or shaking, and someone's either about to get fucked up or i'm about to get away. the problem is i can never will myself to do either. i just stand there, visibly ticking until i have finally had way much more than enough or it's way too late.
so i got off that bus, and my sister followed (we were nowhere near our stop) and hopped on a different bus. a stop later they all got on the same bus. this made me even more furious to the point where there was no talking to me, so my sister reached for her headphones and while she wasn't looking i slipped off. i'll never forget the scene, i'm off the bus looking at her as she stares down unaware i'm gone, looking so innocent and helpless while 10-12 boys get on the bus with the intention of being even more rude to her.
